J&A Prods. put on a great race under a bright blue sky yesterday. Many STARS were present including Boulderite, Kat D'Angelo, with a great showing, and Dale Jackson who placed 4th in his first race of the year after running injuries.

The slightly changed course was thought to be a little longer, some debris on the roads caused many flats, and a "cross-over" section at the bike exit caused some difficulties as athletes had to avoid incoming cyclists. Robin Heidt suffered a flat and complications, but was saved by passing-by American pro, Cameron Widoff, who quickly gave her the rear wheel off his race bike to send her on her way. Cameron had just finished his 40k T.T. and was warming down. The race attracting the world's best for a spectator-friendly pro format that had everyone cheering wildly. Local Becky Gibbs had the race of her life to beat Michelle Jones who was neck-n-neck with Nicole DeBoom. Chris Carmichael blew away the Pro Challenge field, and Steve Larsen crushed the triathlon Elite field.

Hi Honey,

Just wanted to give you the stats on the race.

You were 15th in the swim, 32nd in the bike (the flat and bloody nose), and 12th in the run.

For comparison, check out some of your competition Shannon, Tanya, and Lynn.

It's exciting to see that you can race with Tanya and Lynn and that they were 4th & 5th at San Jose! Wow, so cool.

Remember this was a "B" race so that works out well.

I'm very proud of your great attitude :) You prove a lot more with that then with a medal.

Love,

Troy
